What Amazon Actually Requires
Amazon's image guidelines exist for a reason: consistency across millions of listings benefits everyone's browsing experience. But they also create a high bar. The main image must show the product alone on a pure white background, occupy at least 85% of the image frame, and meet minimum pixel dimensions. Secondary images have more flexibility, but the main image is non-negotiable.
We shoot to those specifications precisely. Files leave our studio calibrated to Amazon's requirements and ready to upload without additional processing on your end. We also stay current on guideline changes across major platforms, so if you're selling on Walmart, Target Plus, or Shopify as well, we can deliver to those specs simultaneously.
Beyond the Main Image: Building a Full Listing
Amazon allows up to nine images per listing, and brands that use all nine consistently outperform listings with fewer. Your secondary images are where the real selling happens: alternate angles that answer sizing questions, detail shots that show materials and finishes, scale references that prevent returns, and lifestyle images that show the product in use.
We plan for the full listing, not just the main image. That means thinking through the shopper's journey through your image stack and making sure each frame answers a real purchase question.
Shipping Your Products to Us
Most of our Amazon clients ship their products directly to our studio at 333 N Oakley Blvd, in Chicago's West Town. Include your project name or company name in the attention line and let us know the expected delivery date. We confirm receipt, inspect products on arrival, and flag any condition issues before the shoot day.
After the shoot, we can return products via your preferred carrier, hold them for a future session, or discard them. For fragile or high-value products, we recommend sending backup units. Have more questions about the process? Our FAQ covers exactly this, including turnaround times and file delivery formats.
Launching a new listing or refreshing an existing one? Both are valid reasons for a shoot. A listing refresh is often faster and less expensive than a full launch shoot because the scope is tighter. We can work within whatever budget makes sense for the SKU's sales volume.
